Personal Training the Personalized Athlete.
Students have developed and created individualized training plans to support their specific athletic goals from a 'Dry Land' point of view. Students are independently training and applying concepts learned such as Agility, Balance, Flexibility etc.

Topics of Training Explored- Health & Skill Related Components
Grade 7,
We are exploring key concepts to work towards a personal training plan for yourselves that support goals you are working towards that support you as an athlete. This applies to all sports, dance, skateboarding etc. This task will be called a 'SPORTFOLIO'.
So far, we have looked specifically at the topics and concepts of:
Skill Components:
Agility
Blance
Speed
Coordination
Reaction Time
Health Components:
Cardiovascular Fitness
This week, we will be discussing 'Flexibility'.

Agility- Football
This week we will be developing the concept of Agility and applying the development as it applies to football. Students will learn football and develop understanding for the importance of agility through running plays and how to train it.
