Training Plan

TRAINING PLAN-

You have 1 month (8 days during class time)

Design your own dryland training plan that will help you to achieve your athletic goal(s).
You need to demonstrate understanding of the Principles of Training in your plan (SPORFITT).
You will have 30 minutes each day to work on your training plan.

Consider:

How will you know if your training plan worked?  You may need to do a "measurement" of where you are now, and compare at the end.  For example.  How high can you jump currently and how high did you jump on your final day (goal here is to improve vertical jump for a volleyball player).

Flexibility- sit and reach

Endurance- how long does it take to run 10 laps of your route (time befoe and after comparison).

Goal ideas:

Speed
Enurance
Agility
Balance
Coordination
Vertical Jump
Power
Strength

The purpose of a sportfolio is an evolving one. It includes student reflections, assignments, assessment, reporting to parents, journal entries, fitness progression, or all of the above. Ultimately, you will need to take ownership of the use your sportfolio, which will enhance your learning of yourself as an athlete and other athletes. The sportfolio will help to increase and improve growth for you as an athlete.

It is an organized collection of all the work that you will produce in my class for the semester. This includes logs, assessments, handouts, and assignments. It will reflect your progress academically and physically.

What goes in your Sportfolio:

· Class projects & reflection

· Results of fitness tests

· Goal setting

· Photos from sport

· Strenghts/weaknesses as it relates to topics in sport
